Methods of investigation; Developing sources of information; Preparing proposals and reports; Documentation/record keeping specific to investigations and expert work; Ethics; Standard terms and conditions; Legal considerations; Procedures to be followed during litigation; Discussion of standard-of-care.

 

Students will be assigned projects of actual cases of nonperformance or failure of steel, concrete, masonry, geotechnical and temporary structures in order to perform, discuss and report their own investigations under the guidance of the instructor.
